TEKsystems is looking for a self-sufficient candidate to work on DAS design and technology-related issues and provide real solutions to concepts and projects. The candidate will get hands-on experience completing and analyzing RF testing. This includes antenna, OTDR, continuous wave (CW), on-air and PIM/line sweep testing. The candidate must be able to complete RF and DAS design work for multi-sector projects and troubleshoot designs both independently and as part of our engineering team.
Responsibilities:
* Complete indoor DAS system building modeling, propagation, data collection and optimization
* Analyze all CW testing and RF propagations to determine DAS design
* Assess locations on-site, perform site surveys and gather coverage requirements
* Complete small/medium scope DAS design projects using different OEM platforms either independently or using iBwave proficiency
* Commission and optimize work following installation
* Provide closeout documentation for carrier acceptance of system and perform on-air testing of all carrier technologies meeting SLA metrics
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
* At least 2 years of professional DAS engineering experience using most major DAS OEMs (JMA, SOLiD, CommScope, etc.)
* iBwave Level 2 proficiency; certification preferred
* Expert-level experience in DAS commissioning, optimizing and troubleshooting (experience with propagation tools preferred)
* Proficiency with RF and optical test equipment (spectrum analyzer, base station analyzer and Anritsu PIM/sweep testing)
* Familiarity with wireless technologies (LTE, CDMA, EVDO, CDMA, UMTS and 5G NR)
* Willing to travel to New York City and surrounding New Jersey area to perform on-site work at least 50% of the time
Candidate must be able to:
* Work in the United States
* Drive and provide valid driver’s license
* Travel to and from Central New Jersey office and various on-site locations (those who live locally or are willing to move preferred)
* Provide sample of technical writing experience
* Monitor audio quality of wireless calls
* Lift 30 pounds of equipment up and down two flights of stairs
